Volunteers
Coping with Cancer services are all run by volunteers.
- Most of our volunteers have first hand knowledge of cancer although this is NOT essential.
- The volunteers work in Teams under the direction of a Team Leader who is also a volunteer.
- We expect volunteers to give up to 3h per week of their time.
- Volunteers are not paid but reasonable expenses are given.
- Volunteers are given induction training and ongoing training.
- To comply with our constitution, all volunteers MUST become members of Coping with Cancer, paying a membership fee of £5 per annum.
- Counselling volunteers are qualified to at least a Certificate in Counselling and complementary therapy volunteers to a minimum level 3 certification.
